I like Easter table settings because they're fresh and creative. I was browsing through pictures on Pinterest and found a few that I thought were really cool and different ... Tulips is a must when I think of Easter table as well as some sort of bunny figurine. My personal favorite color palette is Robin blue with pink, orange or yellow tulips ... I also think that using an actual egg as place card holder is quirky and fun ... take a look at my inspirational pics!!! Images via Pinterest.

House Tour: Manhattan Townhouse ...
I saw this home in Architectural Digest and at once fell in love with the back yard designed by Miranda Brooks ... I loved the quaintness of the terrace outside - just seemed to ground everything with the plants being wild and loose. The townhouse was the vision of rising designer Laura Santos, who merged 3 adjacent row house to create a 21st century Beaux Art mansion in Greenwich village ... Take a look, images via

Travel Tuesday: Thompson Chicago ...
This week we're back to the east coast at the Thompson Hotel in Chicago ... I've lived on the east coast for almost 15 years and I still haven't visited the windy city. The British designer Tara Bernerd wanted guests to feel like " a winter's coat being lifted off your shoulders"as they walked into the hotel. The designer achieves this feeling by keeping the bedrooms spacious, embracing the city's skyline with floor to ceiling windows and using a mix palette of contemporary and vintage. The result is something sophisticated that is still raw and edgy! Images via

Trending Thursday: Pastels for Spring ...
This is the perfect time to bring out the pastels ... with Easter round the corner these powdery hues are great for this time of year. The fashion runways also featured a lot of pastels for Spring 2014 ... my personal favorite is lilac like the outfit below by Prabal Gurung. The challenge I find in using pastels is that it can appear childlike, girly or unsophisticated even ... Below are a few images of what I feel are successful use of the colors. Images via Pinterest

Travel Tuesday: Luxury Bush Camp ...
The one adventure I can never get tired of is going on safari ... I've been on a couple and I cannot wait for the next one. The sense of adventure and thrill is beyond words not to mention the spectacular sunsets over the majestic wild. Today we're off to Chinzombo camp part of Norman Carr Safaris located along the Luangwa river in Zambia. The camp was recently renovated to provide a sense of luxury and sophistication while maintaining traditional Zambian building elements. The result is a camp that appears to be floating over the lush and tranquil landscape with spacious villas offering both indoor and outdoors spaces to relax and absorb the sounds and sights of the surrounding bush.
