This home is exactly what I would have imagined for Coldplay's guitarist Jonny Buckland ... it's young, fun and dark at the same time. Love the kitchen island made of mahogany wood and the herringbone patterned hardwood floors. The furniture is modern and timeless with pieces like Eames chairs in the master bedroom and the Hans Wegner hoop chair in the living room. Today we are touring the Manhattan home of Rebecca de Ravenel, the founder of the Goombay Bazaar, a traveling pop-up shop that sells one-of-a-kind wares from all over the world. Most of the furnishings in the apartment are vintage or passed on to Rebecca from her parents and friends.The 31 year old travels extensively, including recent trips to Turkey and India, on the hunt for inspired items and she’s managed to find time to assemble a magical place to call home.

Nancy Gonzalez is known for her exotic, colorful and luxurious handbags but when it comes to her home she prefers to "to live simply, with less visual noise". For her apartment in Colombia, the designer stays away from loud decorative accents and prefers the excitement to come from family gatherings. She opts for a layout that flows from one space to another, a loft style approach while defining each area. The idea for this home was to make no room off limits and allow maximum interaction and that feeling definitely comes through ... take a look. Images via
