House Tour: A Manhattan loft full of character ...

This home is exactly what I would have imagined for Coldplay's guitarist Jonny Buckland ... it's young, fun and dark at the same time. Love the kitchen island made of mahogany wood and the herringbone patterned hardwood floors. The furniture is modern and timeless with pieces like Eames chairs in the master bedroom and the Hans Wegner hoop chair in the living room. There's "a touch of rock-and-roll spirit" to this family home. Images via Elle Decor

House Tour: Manhattan Townhouse ...

I saw this home in Architectural Digest and at once fell in love with the back yard designed by Miranda Brooks ... I loved the quaintness of the terrace outside - just seemed to ground everything with the plants being wild and loose. The townhouse was the vision of rising designer Laura Santos, who merged 3 adjacent row house to create a 21st century Beaux Art mansion in Greenwich village ... Take a look, images via

The husband and wife team strip the apartment to its raw concrete, reconfiguring doors and windows to open up the space. The result is a stunning space with fluted walls, textured floors and the most comfortable sofa. Images via House Beautiful

Nascar Champion's downtown Manhattan Apartment ...

Interior designer Shaun Henderson designs a Manhattan apartment for Nascar champion Jimmie Johnson. The designer was inspired by the sofa fabric by Loro Piana linen and uses it as a base for the palette. Most of the furniture is mid-century modern including the living room sofa, a classic chesterfield that I adore. The designer also uses a Hans Wegner Papa Bear armchair in the master bedroom which adds a sculptural element to the space ... Images via Elle Decor

With the help of architect Peter Pawlak a plan is put in motion to improve the apartment's flow while adding handcrafted details, seamless storage, and a sophisticated lighting system that would cleverly mitigate reflections on the apartment's glass surround. House Tour: Hairstylist Guido Palau's Manhattan Apartment

After a long day of teasing, tousling and braiding hair, all hairstylist Guido Palau wants to do is come home from his job " flop down, relax, and not be too precious.” For his apartment in NYC he decided to display the things he had collected over time to show who he really was as oppose to a minimalist look which he would typically opt for that involves concealing everything. Take a look at this elegant and restful abode ... Love the terrace. Images via Architectural Digest
