The Viceroy Miami opened in 2009 and I still cannot get enough of the design. With interiors by Kelly Wearstler and a Philippe Starck-designed spa, the very stylish Viceroy Miami has all the glitz and glam you look for in a Miami hotel. It takes a good eye for detail to pull all these different elements together without turning into kitschy. Kelly Wearstler has a fearless appetite for over the top design without losing control and I'm a huge fan ..

Voted one of the world's " 50 Best Designed Hotels" by California Home + Design magazine, Avalon has been the site of countless photo shoots and continues to be a favorite of Hollywood tastemakers who congregate in cabanas by the amoeba shaped pool, or in the hotel's 1950s inspired lobby lounge. The design is a signature Kelly Wearstler one packed with mid-century Eames, Noguchi and Nelson furniture to match its blocky blue facade and curvaceous hourglass-shaped pool ... take a look!

Trending Thursday: Good Old Brass

So excited to see the comeback of this often forgotten metal in interior design. Brass has a warm richness to it that provides a sense of opulence and luxury. I'm a huge fan of antique brass finish which is a little more dull than the polished one ... either way this metal adds drama and glamor in any space.
