This low-key and quaint boutique hotel on the East coast is reminiscent of a summer camp offering activities like bicycling, bingo, paddle boarding, yoga and more. The cabin inspired rooms circle around a central lawn called the "Magic Garden" , at night it turns into a hang-out spot for night revelers who gather around the picnic tables and heat lamps. The rooms offer a comfortable bed with a hammock to lounge in without foregoing modern day amenities such as Wifi and air conditioning. House Tour: Federico de Vera's Railway Depot ...

I'm always excited when I come by projects such as this one, an old railway depot gets turned into a tasteful home in upstate New York. I feel like old buildings have a soul and tearing them down just doesn't agree with me, I always feel something can be done to salvage them. Federico de Vera, a jewelry designer and art collector rescues this building and adorns it with his eclectic style, the result is an 'enchanting transformation' ... take a look!!! via Elle Decor

This is my idea of a 'broken in' home ... a home that looks effortless and makes you feel comfortable  as soon as you walk in. For this 19th century Hampton home, the designer chose to reuse original building materials to preserve the character of the existing farmhouse.
