Luang Prabang sits on the banks of the slow-moving Mekong River and is an amazing place to experience traditional Buddhist culture with its well preserved temples under the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The architecture is French colonial with traditional wooden houses surrounded by lush palm trees giving this town its unique charm. Positioned in the hills above Luang Prabang is La Résidence Phou Vao, an Orient Express property, offering beautiful mountain views of temples and shrines in the horizon across the infinity pool. The guests rooms are furnished with rosewood furniture, Laotian cotton upholstery and fragrant frangipani .... and I want to go there:)
