House Tour: Global Style off the Adriatic Sea ...

I love collecting objects and art when I travel  ... it makes my home more personable and every piece has a story behind it, much better than photographs. The home of London-based fashion designer Liza Bruce and her husband, artist Nicholas Alvis Vega located in Puglia, Italy reflects that globe trotting style with pieces across the Mediterranean, Africa and Asia. The simplicity of the home is perfect to accent each individual piece of furniture, fabric and art ... Images via Elle Decor.

Off to Sevilla ... Hotel Alfonso XIII

I love renovation projects that can preserve the historical context and details of a place while making it current with our times. Hotel Alfonso XIII in Seville, Spain was built in 1928 and named after the king who commissioned the hotel. The design and architecture  reflects Spain’s past, blending Moorish, Castilian and Andalusian styles. The hotel was recently renovated to provide guests with all the modern amenities while enjoying authentic details like wrought-iron balustrades, stone arches, frescoes and decorative wood carvings.

Mix & Match Home in Brussels ...

Featured in this month's Elle Decor, the home of Melañio Gomez and Chris Kangas is both elegant and eclectic at the same time. There's a story behind each piece, Gomez believes that the 'provenance' of a piece doesn't matter as long as it is good design. He's a believer of mixing high and lows ... he hauled the entry bench below from a dumpster and topped it off with luxury mohair cushions ... Take a look.

American Trade Hotel, Panama City ...

I'm a huge fan of L.A design firm Commune, I've featured some of their homes in my previous blogs. I was super excited to see their new project which is the American Trade Hotel in Panama City for the trendy Ace Hotel Group. The hotel feels relax, casual and reminiscent of a bygone era, the designer was trying to  achieve a look that felt like the hotel had been there forever ... Take a look. Images via
