I'm always excited when I come by projects such as this one, an old railway depot gets turned into a tasteful home in upstate New York. I feel like old buildings have a soul and tearing them down just doesn't agree with me, I always feel something can be done to salvage them. Federico de Vera, a jewelry designer and art collector rescues this building and adorns it with his eclectic style, the result is an 'enchanting transformation' ... take a look!!! via Elle Decor

Trending Thursday: Under the Pergola ...
Love how the light filters through branches, leaves and vines under a pergola ... the shadows are just magical. Today I wanted to feature a few inspirational images of these cool relaxing spaces. I've always loved the idea of a swing or hammock or a super comfortable low seating sofa under one of these, I can just imagine myself lounging here with a cocktail ... soaking up the sun:)

Travel Tuesday: Rosewood London ...
I get giddy and excited when I come by hotels like these ... the ability to maintain the integrity of an old building while making it functional and modern at the same time is a real challenge. Designer Tony Chi has respected this neoclassical landmark building built in 1914, located on London's High Holborn, by preserving its Edwardian heritage and including it as part of the hotel's design. Love the modern, monochromatic look used in the guest bedrooms and the opulent dining and bar area ... take a look. Images via

House Tour: Elegant & Modern Swedish Apartment ...
I love touring Swedish homes, they do an impeccable job at capturing daylight by using minimal color yet packing in a whole lot of style. The apartment is modern yet retains design elements from its past which makes it even more elegant ... Via

Travel Tuesday: Shinta Mani Siem Reap ...
Shinta Mani Resort & Club is located in Siem Reap, Cambodia . When I visited the city a few years ago, I liked the fact that there weren't too many stylish establishments, it made you appreciate the authentic local vibe of the city. In any case as all things must change, Shinta Mani Resort & Club was designed by Bangkok based American designer Bill Bensley. The design is quite theatrical with Buddhist art adorning the ceilings and a dramatic color palette of black, grey and white offset with bright orange reminiscent of the robes worn by the Buddhist monks .... Take a look.
