I love the use of letters in design, there's something really sharp and cool about using letters as a design element ... not necessarily words but just characters that may or may not mean anything. Symbols are nice too - like "&" or "@" ... take a look at some of my inspiration images.

I have to sadly admit that someone stole my dream ... yes this home is everything I've dreamed of and more. Trending Thursday: Wood Paneling ...
I've been noticing wood paneling in a lot of commercial interior spaces and lately they are also prominent in homes. I'm not referring to painted panels that were trendy in the 60's or 70's and quite a few houses still have them ... I like the unfinished, reclaimed or textured wood panels that act like accent walls, they truly warm up a space and bring a whole lot of character to the interior. I sifted through images on Pinterest and here are my favorite ones ... enjoy!

Travel Tuesday: Ruschmeyer's Montauk ...
This low-key and quaint boutique hotel on the East coast is reminiscent of a summer camp offering activities like bicycling, bingo, paddle boarding, yoga and more. The cabin inspired rooms circle around a central lawn called the "Magic Garden" , at night it turns into a hang-out spot for night revelers who gather around the picnic tables and heat lamps. The rooms offer a comfortable bed with a hammock to lounge in without foregoing modern day amenities such as Wifi and air conditioning. For those of you who want to relive your summer camp days, this is the spot. Images Ruschmeyer's

Travel Tuesday: Ace Hotel Downtown LA ...
I'm simply obsessed with Commune design, there isn't a single project that doesn't blow me away. A few months ago I featured the amazing American Trade Hotel in Panama City and this time they've done it again with the Ace Hotel Downtown LA. Located in the historic United Artist Building which has a heavy Spanish Gothic influence, Commune design stripped down the interior of the building and discovered a "modernist, brutalist concrete structure". They recreated the hotel from there by mixing LA's mishmash Gothic style and the work of local LA modernists. The result is an eclectic hotel pulsating with an industrial, vintage and trendy vibe .... Take a look!!!
